Whats not to love ? I would be lost without this app. It is my office storage system and effortlessly links to my iPhone, Mac and iPad. Thank you. Life got a little easier.
When I first started with Apple iOS coming from windows, I needed something with a file system that was familiar to soften the learning curve. A central repository was needed for documents, spreadsheets, pdfs, and all kinds of files. And a way to transfer those things. This does exactly that and very easily. I use the iPad & iPhone for work and it is so easy with this. It just plain works! This may be the bridge to dump MS once & for all. Only complaint is I waited too long to get this app. Thank you from a possibly former windows guy.
Im totally blind, and This program has been a Godsend. Not only can I store documents in folders, read PDF files, but I can take pictures from my camera role and give them names I understand such as "horse.jpg". Now if somebody wants to see a pic of my horse, for the first time in my life I can just go to the app, pull up the pic and show it to them. Thank you so much for the work that goes into this app and makes it such a pleasure to use.
Really love this app, was one of the first apps I got back in the day. Needs a make over and some new features. Its become stale and iOS 7 has been out sometime now. Needs a new look. One request still needing is to have the ability to lock/password protect individual local folders. Thank you for the ability to have multiple Dropbox account links. I have a personal and business Dropbox and really like having access to both with this app. Thanks!
Please add basic editing capabilities (like modifiable text/font/line spacing, etc.) to future app updates (like for Microsoft Office and Apple iWork Files).
This app is the one and only place for files on my iPhone and iPad for many years. The cloud integration is outstanding and neither Dropboxs or Google Docs apps have given me more functionality, so I was able to delete them, and put "everything under one roof". V2 has an updated look and even easier access to my files.
This is a great and useful app. I use it daily to transfer docs to and from my phone
Oh no! It went to the flat iOS 7 look, Ack! Ack! Ack! No, say it isnt so... Two major flaws with this upgrade: it has that glaring white space in photos - too bright when viewing photos - no way to change it either - ack, ack! Now, when viewing photos I have to go back to page reviews to delete the photo and then swipe the photo?!? Ack! When viewing the photo the only option is to star it? Yuck! I want the old look back! Not everyone likes the flat iOS 7 look! Who decided that I have to have this? Been a long time Files devote, now have to move along-sadly... Do us a favor and do NOT screw up the iPad version this badly...
Best way for me to keep files for easy access on my phone! I love the FTP/http feature too! Also, a reliable app.
It appears that version 2.0 does not fully support OS 10.9.4 (Mavericks) on the Mac. The Mac will not connect to by using “go to server”. It connects fine on earlier versions.
Ive used Files Pro for years and have a large number of files stored. Unfortunately the 2.0 version crashes on load every time. Hoping it gets fixed soon---
The Files pro is great, the iOS interface has ruined it. As I complained to Apple: They took a low resolution world (the iPhone 3 & 4 and original iPad) with great good looking, colorful 3-D graphics and went to a high resolution (iPhone 5 and Retina Display iPads, etc) with bland, colorless (more like pastels), 1-D "drawings" more befitting of a kindergardener than a High School or College Art Department. This Flat iOS look is childish and ugly.
The app works as well as it ever did, but some of the new layout decisions are... questionable. Im glad that the whole thing meshes with iOS 7, but a lot if the layout changes are bad at best. The browser in particular now is almost un-navigable, and PDFs are much more difficult to skim. Over all, I feel like things kind of went backwards with this last update.
Been waiting a while for it to be updated to match the design and function of the newer iOS, but this is a great app. I’ve been using this since I first got an iPhone in 2009 and it’s been solid and they continue to improve it. With the built in limitations of the iPhone/ipad design this is a great tool for quickly getting media of all types on and off the phone really quickly, instead of using the clunky iTunes app method. I use it for posting photos, reading books, music tracks I’m working on, even downloading some files from the web in a pinch. They’ve put a lot of work into this app.
Imported from Dropbox app, now stuck on that file: no access to others.
Love this app for files helps sorting and getting music
8-22-2014 (V 2.0.1) Have used Files Pro for 2 years and couldnt live without it. Can easily load files from my PC to this iPhone App and vice versa using WiFi. I use the freeware CyberDuck app on my PC. Files Pro stores and reads most common file types. Files Pro is able to do what Apple doesnt do with its iOS- and that is to access the phones memory to store lots of files which can be easily organized into folders and then viewed. The 2.0.1 update continues the tradition of great performance.
Loved this app. Latest update is sluggish and more steps required to get to bookmarks etc. overall experience down.
The new look isnt that great. Big problem is that scrolling through files is super slow. Upgrading to iOS8 did not help. I moved my most-used stuff to Wireshare for the meantime, hopefully a fix comes soon.
